Natural Hair Report Card: Top 10 Gels and Pomades

Thanks to everyone who helped with the second annual Natural Hair Report Card. This year over 1,200 men and women participated in the survey. Categories included Conditioners, Leave-ins, Shampoos, Product Lines, Hair Tools, YouTube channels, Deep Conditioners, Gels and Pomades, and Butters and Creams. Lists will be posted throughout this week with the final summary on January 1st.

This is the first year for this category. It is one that was suggested by a reader of last year’s NHRC.

  3. I use the passion fruit curl control paste when I want a really defined twist out it works great and hardly anything works on my hair . I do use it w/ an oil though because it dries a little funny.

  6. I’ve used the Curls paste on my edges. It worked well.

  7. Have you tried the Sugar Berry kind?

  8. I have not used the Sugar Berry Pomade. I recently tried curly pudding and I like it, even though I hate to admit it.
