Hot! Gallery DIY MangoShea Souffle

After watching lots of Youtube videos ~B (part of the NaturalReview team) decided to try making a whipped shea butter. She decided to mix it up by adding in some mango butter. This recipe is an unscented version. It has a light fragrance naturally, but you can add essential oils to yours to customize the fragrance.

~B writes:

What I used:

  • 8 oz unrefined shea butter
  • 8 oz of unrefined mango butter
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp jojoba oil
  • 1 tbsp almond oil
  • 1 tbsp castor oil
  • 1 tsp vitamin e
  • 1/2 tsp argan oil
  • 1 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 1 tbsp honey (I used raw honey)

What I did:

I put all the ingredients in a glass bowl.  I mixed it on low for a few minutes.  Then I like chopped at it with the electric hand mixer.  I scrapped the sides of the bowl with a spatula.  I blended it again for a few more minutes until it was fluffy.  Afterwards I put it in plastic baby food containers.  It made 3 each of 4oz and 2 oz containers.  Plus I used the bowl remnants on my hair and body.

Give this recipe a try. It can work for hair or skin. If you put your own touches on the recipe, share them with us on the Submissions page.
