Hot! Five Uses for Castile Soap

Castile Soap can be used for many different purposes.  Here are a few:

1. Shower/Bath- it is great for people with sensitive skin because it does not have the chemicals in it that are in other types of soap.  There is also a baby mild kind especially made for the little ones.

2. Shampoo- For hair, I like to use the lavender, tea tree, and peppermint castile soaps.  There is also original, citrus, and almond.  There may be others that I haven’t seen.

3. Great for camping because of it’s many uses, and it is safe for the environment

4. It can be used for cleaning around the house including for dishes and laundry.

5. It’s also a great ingredient to have for many homemade natural creations.  I have used it to make my own shampoo and salt scrubs.

TIP-Castile soap should be diluted for most purposes.

Do you use castile soap?  If so, leave a comment with some of the ways you have used it.  It could give someone else an idea.

  1. Hey Lady!! I use the Almond one to wash my face witha face brush.. Last’s forever.. Just a little squirt on a wet face brush and then I apply a little coconut oil for moisture on my face:)

    • I purchased the almond but haven’t used it just yet I’m going to try it on my hair. It’s good to know that I need to dilute it I was wondering about that. I can’t wait to use it now.

  3. Oh YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! I have 2 bottles, one is the peppermint and the other is a hemp rose scent. LOVE IT! The sales lady told me I can use it as a shampoo, body wash, and toothpaste ( and yes, I have tried it lol) I never diluted it before and I am very heavy handed when it comes to products. This stuff lasts forever!

  4. I use peppermint castile soap for my hair. I never knew you should dilute it, but it doesn’t dry my hair out. With regular shampoo, my hair is totally stripped of moisture

Is this something I can use to wash my hair a couple times a week if need and won’t dry my hair?

    • If you are going to shampoo it several times a week, you may want to pre-poo to help reduce dryness. Also, with this you want to dilute it because it is pretty strong. I haven’t had problems with it drying my hair.

  8. I’d like to try this.
